Despite popular belief, West Ham’s home ground is actually named The Boleyn Ground, the name Upton Park is more commonly known due to the stadium’s location in London. It’s this fact that makes Upton Park so unique as nobody really call’s the ground by its correct title.

Upton Park is one of the oldest and most traditional stadiums in the UK, and has been home to some of the most famous players in the game, including England’s World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore. Upton Park has a capacity of just over 35,000 and visiting supporters are housed in the lower tier of the Trevor Brooking Stand.

West Ham have mostly enjoyed top flight football at Upton Park, however over the past few years their dominance has declined somewhat and even the most hardened ‘Hammers’ supporter would agree they aren’t the force they once were back in the day.
