The jewel in the crown when it comes to English football is Wembley Stadium.  At a cost of £757 million the new Wembley was opened in 2007 and was seen by many as delayed and over budget. However, when you see the 90,000 capacity stadium it’s easy to see why the construction company took their time!

The stadium is beautifully designed and combines state of the art technology and facilities with a very aesthetically pleasing look and feel. The famous twin towers on the previous Wembley stadium have been replaced by a huge 134 metre arch looking over the field of play which is now becoming an iconic spectacle in its own right.

Wembley’s primary use is for the home matches of the England national football team, however, it is also famous for hosting the world’s premier domestic cup competition, the FA Cup final. In addition, Wembley is also home to the English football league play-offs and another domestic competition, the league cup.
Besides football, Wembley also hosts other sports including Rugby, American Football and various motor sports. The stadium has also been the venue for many major music concerts including Take That, Muse, Oasis, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Rihanna.
